All billable professional services are paid for on a fee for services basis by Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance coverage. The room and board portion of residential care is paid for with the resident's own resources, such as Social Security, SSI, disability benefits, Workers' Compensation, V.A. disability or retirement benefits, Ohio's RSS program, and by Medicaid for our nursing homes. The nonbillable professional component of our residential care is frequently subsidized by other organizations. In come cases, insurance companies will agree to pay some of the cost of care when it is utilized as a low-cost alternative to hospitalization. We also work and contract with mental health boards and agencies, the courts and law enforcement agencies, MR/DD boards and agencies, and any other resources that have appropriate individuals for referral. We currently contract with boards or agencies for 55 Ohio counties. |
