We believe that most individuals can be provided with appropriate residential care and treatment without being institutionalized. Our facilities provide a much more normal and less restrictive enviornment than placement in State institutions, and our experience has demonstrated that maintenance of stability and improvement in functioning are both possilbe and common in the "home-like" atmosphere, and therepeutic milieu, that we provide. We believe that individuals must, psychotropic medications not withstanding, grow through interpersonal relationships. |
