We do not operate any locked units and are generally unable and unwilling to utilize extensive individual physical restraints. We are not able to work effectively with someone who is clearly dangerous to self or others, and we are not able to forcibly retain someone determined to leave the facility. We reserve the right to discharge, or refuse to accept, patients that are not sufficiently treatment compliant. We will thoroughly explore and use all alternatives to restraints. We reserve the right to do an emergency discharge of some one who is dangerous to self or others. |
