An Adult Care Facility, or ACF, are generally smaller than than RCF's, and are generally a step below RCF's in care. Usually, the residents that are in an ACF are mellower and more stable. Some of these facilities don't have 24 hour staffing. However, all such facilities of the Buckeye Family do provide 24 hour staffing. They are not locked (illegal) facilities and provide essentially the same care as RCF's. Nevertheless, ACF's are generally more family oriented. Again, mental health boards and agencies frequently contract to pay a subsidy for this kind of care. |
